Canterbury Office Furniture is not a new company! We are the retail arm of our parent Douglas Furniture Ltd, who have been manufacturing and selling quality office furniture since 1957. Our founder Cliff Douglas is still a Director and the current Managing Director Chris Douglas has over 20 years industry experience.
Established and respected
It all started out over 45 years ago with our first factory on Selwyn Street in Christchurch, with steady growth over the year's we required more space so then moved to new premises on Coleridge and Brisbane streets.
Looking into the future and for a way to better serve the Christchurch market, April 1998 saw the appointment of Grant McAlister as Sales Manager, Grant is well known in the Christchurch office furniture market for his vast knowledge and high level of customer service. Following grants appointment was the formation of Canterbury Office Furniture with showroom at 123 Moorhouse Ave.
